About Dr. Josée Ishwari Marcoux

Since a very young age, health always had been a passion of Josée's but she took the long road to get where she is. She was a banker for over fifteen years, a life coach, and an expert in client’s services. Because she loves a challenge, in her forties she became an athlete in age group training for various Triathlons.

Retired at the age of 37 years old, she knew she wanted to bring more into this life.

She wanted to be in service. She became a yoga instructor,a certified Yoga Nidra instructor, a Registered HolisticNutritionist , a meditation instructor and Ayurvedic body and Massage body therapy. Her biggest passion of all: Ayurveda!

She is certified as Ayurveda Health Educator, Ayurveda Health Counselor ,Clinical Ayurveda Specialist and reached the highest standard in Ayurvedic medecine as an Ayurvedic Doctor all from California College of Ayurveda. She loves Ayurvedic medicine and see the changes it bring in her clients health .

She is a strong believer that everyone has a dharma (our true nature) and has a responsibility to fulfill it to become our best version of our self. In order to do that, she uses the knowledge of Ayurveda (a science of life) to help clients. She has clients all over the world and feel blissful every day to work with those souls.

She practices in the beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados, where she lives with her husband. She has two beautiful children and is blessed with a beautiful grandchild.

Her dogs, chicken, horse, and black belly sheep's are truly part of the clinic.She loves to rescue various animals. Another passion of her’s : gardening . Through all the years , no matter where she lives , she loves playing in the dirt with mother nature and still does after over thirty years of that beautiful hobby.

Born as Josée, she received her spiritual name: Ishwari from her dearest mentors at the Sivananda ashram in the Bahamas. Ishwari in Sanskrit means Goddess. The female principle of divine energy, infinity's strength that reigns over all the worlds but hey, like she said, "don't mind that " just call her Ishwari. She is fully bilingual in English and French and can serve in both languages.

Ishwari still does volunteer work and she has over 15,000 hrs under her belt!

She is an active member of Yoga Alliance RYT 200, International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA as a student), CSNN Alumni Association, and Academy of Naturopath, Naturotherapists of Canada Inc. (ACNN) and the Association of Holistic Bodywork Practitioners of Barbados.
